Role Title: Part-time Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper
Location: Office-based at Highbury Grove, London N5
Hours: 4 hours per day, 5 days per week – working hours flexible
Line Manager: Commercial Director

We currently have a part-time vacancy for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper. Reporting to the Commercial Director initially, the Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper will be responsible for the following:
Purchase Ledger Management
- Invoicing Staff Expenses
- Purchase payments
- Request and or Query POs
- Efficient Process and Payment of Stock Invoices
- Efficient Process and Timely Payment of Component Invoices
- Liaise with suppliers on queries
- Supplier Account Reconciliations
- Review the Aged Creditors and Aged Debtors on a weekly basis
- Collate & Process Credit Card and cash expenses
Payment Runs - Sterling & Forex
- UK Payment Runs - generate & send remittance advice for all payments
- FX Payment Runs - generate & send remittance advice for all payments
- Bank - Current Account A- process transactions & reconcile
- Bank Current Account B- process transactions & reconcile
- Bank Forex Partner Cashbook - Process & reconcile
Sales Ledger
- Process Sales Orders in Quickbooks
- Process and Allocate Customer Receipts
- Chase delinquent accounts according to agreed company timelines
Month End:
a. Month End Journals – Fixed Assets, Salary, Stock, Prepayments & Accruals b. Process & prepare payroll c. Prepare monthly management accounts, Balance Sheet, P&L, Aged Debtors & Creditors and Cashflows

- Prepare, finalise and submit the VAT return for the quarter
- Miscellaneous tasks including but not limited to e.g. ONS Submission, Childcare Vouchers, customer data maintenace etc.
Skills and Qualifications · Technical Skills Part qualified AAT /ACCA – Intermediate level. Excellent MS Suite skills with Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills Sage Software Experience would be beneficial (Sage Accounts 50) Sage or Other Payroll Experience would be beneficial Experience in computer skills and understanding of data privacy standards.
